"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Main zindagi bhar sota hi raha,
ab marte marte hai aankh khuli....
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Jo jitna mila wo hamesha kam tha
aisa kuch mujhko bhram tha..
Jo mil na saka wahi sab kuch laga
peeta gaya par kabhi na pyas bujhi...
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Ma ki mamta ka saar na tha
par mujhe pyar se pyar na tha
Bus moh tha naye khilono ka
jab hosh aaya kahan wo god mili
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Kabhi ungli tham k chalta main bhi
pita ki god main uchalta main bhi
par mujhko bhagna tha jaldi se
chalna seekhate wo usse pehle hi maine udaan bhari
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Khushiyan aati rahi, jati rahi
main chalta raha naye mukam chune ko
ek baar bhi tham kar jashn na manaya...
bus dhoop dikhi na sawan ki ek bhi barsaat dikhi
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Yun bitata kucch pal main bhi unke sath..
isi umeed main intizaar karte rahe har shaam
jis parivar ki khushi k liye sab kuch kiya
na samjha bin mere wo khushiyan beswad rahi
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Bus ek hara rang dikhta raha mujhe
jo anmol tohfe main mila unki pehchaan na ki
wo mehekti hawa mujhe chooti rahi...
mujhe abse pehle ehsas hua hi nahin...
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Inn sanson ka main mol na smajha
socha bahut hain jeene ko
zindagi bhi sath mere bhagti rahi...
ab kaise jee loon jab saans nahin...
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili"

Ab ginta hun wo pal jo main jee leta..
par aalam kuch aisa hai "kash" keh kar tham jata
Jab zindagi thi tab waqt na tha
ab waqt toh hai par zindagi nahin....
Zindagi ki chah main marta raha
"na zindagi mili na maut mili" ............

"Conversation With God"

I just heard a voice my behind,
I turned my head...
but there was no one that side.....

I was scared, I was shocked
because I was all alone.....
the only question running through my mind..
where did this voice come from???

Lying on my bed, I closed my eyes
and here it was
the same beautiful voice.....

calling my name and talking to me....
trying hard to make me sit and listen to what all it was talking

For once I decided to stay calm and listen
there was no point in running
from something that had no existence

I asked who are you and why are you following me???
it replied, you called me, I am God
whom you are hearing.....

This time I was stunned,
then I asked are you joking???
God does not do this kind of talking.

I always try my best, but you don't listen,
were his words...
you are always very busy in listening to others...

I feel bad because I too
take a lot of pains....
but all I get in return
is a hell lot of blames....

I asked why you talk like this
that we don't understand....
Why don't you just come in real and shake hands.....

He replied "there are some rules, that I have to follow..
I don't have a particular body
or shape to show....

...I talk through your heart
but you doesn't seem to be interested..
Still I stay there and try giving solution
to all wrong you did...

But now I am just tired
of seeing you doing all that people tell you...
try to listen once to your heart
and me too....

After all its your heart
who knows you best...
trust me the secret of winning every battle
lies on the left side of your chest...

Decide yourself what is right and what is wrong
leave what others say
they always think of just their own..."

Suddenly I heard a sharp sound of ringing,
I got up from my bed,
realizing that it was all I was dreaming...

Sitting on my bed...
I am still lost....
was that just a dream???
or a medium of talking by God???

Now I am confused,
whom to ask this question
for the first time I wanna trust someone...
whom I never listen..

So today I listen to what, my heart is trying to say...
forget it that was just dream,
but now you just follow your heart more than your brains....

"Yes...i know...i know..."

“Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own”.
A quote from Alchemist. This is one of my favorite quotes. If you don’t agree with it just try to notice once. Just try noticing how many advices/suggestions you are offered in a single day from different people. You won’t believe how many counselors exist around you. But take a note of yourself as well, because even we don’t let anyone pass without providing an advice, its human nature. We all believe that we all possess the solution to other’s problems, even when we all are so messed up with our own lives. As it is rightly said, “India main muft ki advice bahut milti hai.” People give solutions without realizing what can be the repercussions of their precious advices. So many people, so many advices, resuts in so much confusion.
I have a neighbor. He himself lost his job a few months back, has been looking for a job since then but no results, but he possess all knowledge of what I should be doing. Every now and then he asks me, “What’s going on?” and then provides me a new suggestion, clearly emphasizing that all I am doing is absolutely wrong and he provides me with what are the best alternatives for me.
It is so frustrating at times. I mean can you believe how every new friend of my dad, provides me with a new career option, telling that I am choosing a wrong way. Without having any interaction, I have been told that I should go for law or teaching or take HR or Finance as specialization and bla…bla…bla…
I request all the readers; please realize that we are literally committing a “crime” by effecting the peace of mind of the people whom we provide new advices.
I read somewhere that if you tell someone that you are satisfied with your life, they’ll feel jealous of how can you have something that they couldn’t. Then they’ll try best to make you believe that you are wrong and you are not satisfied. And when even then you won’t be convinced, they’ll kill you and when they see you dying in peace, they will declare you a saint.
I think this must be the reason behind this habit of ours. We are so human, that we are always jealous of the achievements of people around us. And just to compel ourselves, that we know better than others, we keep on providing such solutions.
This is a request to al,l that please avoid this habit because the way it irritates you, it must be irritating others as well. I mean one shouldn’t be negligent when he/she really possesses the solution. But otherwise, “No”.Now I just laugh at people, who tells me that writing is a waste of time for me or that I made a wrong decision when I left that opportunity untouched or marketing is not good for you or bla…bla…bla….the list is long.

"Mom, you are the best"

It was a Friday morning, one more busy day to start. I got a call on my cell at 6:30 in the morning, when I was taking a walk with a friend.
“Yes mom?” I asked
“Where are you? I just got up and found out that you were not on your bed. I was worried.”
“I came for a morning walk, will be back in half an hour.” And I cut the phone.
I came back at 7:00 and started preparing for my college. Left home at 8:00, quite annoyed with mom’s frequent questioning, “You took your lunch? Don’t forget the milk and bla..bla..”
Came back at 4:00, tired with all those fun things at college, with friends. My mom is working so she wasn’t home. She came back at 6:30, when I was already out with friends. After coming back I got straight into my room, asking mom to serve me dinner over there only, me sticking to my idiot box. So one more day went with zero interaction between mom and me.
At around 11 in the night I took out this book that one of my friends gave me that day only. “For one more day” by Mitch Album. I started reading it and I couldn’t believe myself, I had tears in my eyes. Yes I was crying. You might say it’s a very normal thing, especially in girl’s case but my close friends know I am not the one who starts crying while reading or watching a movie. I usually laugh at my friends when they behave so. But yes this time I was crying. Every single incident, I could relate to myself, my mom. She has always been giving and I never gave even 1% of it back. I could remember the moments when she was there to support my every tear. And also when I told her not to crib about everything, when she tried to share her heart out. How at times I told her that I am a grown up now, when she was trying to show how worried she gets about me. She was there to hold my finger when I took my first step and she has always been there whenever I was in need, even when I didn’t even ask. How many times she listened to thousands of my demands and how I got frustrated when she said “No” for one. I could remember the day when I came home, drenched in rain and my sister asked “couldn’t you take umbrella with you?” my dad yelled at me with “you could wait for the rain to stop”. And my mom, drying my hairs said “stupid rain”.
How many times she had told me that I am the best and how many times I could tell her that “no mom you are the best.”
The book was like a turning chapter in my life. I couldn’t leave it without completing even though I had college next day. And with repeating a few chapters again and again, I completed that book at 4:00 in the morning. My eyes were kinda swollen with those continuously flowing tears.
Next day was my mom’s off. I came back at 3:30, mom was taking an afternoon nap. Though I usually wake her up and ask to make some hot chapattis for me, that day I didn’t do that. I just wanted her to take some rest and so I cooked it all myself.
We all have become so busy in our lives that we don’t have time to talk with our parents. Today friends are much more important than mom-dad. I realized that I have so many friends to share things with but my mom look upon me only when it comes sharing out her heart. I would say I have learnt that I enjoy sharing things with her equally the way she do. I guess that was one of the best days in my life. It’s just so amazing how small-small things teaches us big lessons at times.
P.S “For one more day” is worth reading…[]

I saw it and I Dream

I saw a kid covered with mud, playing with stones and broken toys,
when his mother was busy in putting bricks, building someone's house.
I dream of the day when I see him going school

I saw the old man dying with hunger,
when his son was busy handling his business in London.
I dream of the day when he have the old age he dreamt of while imparting best education to his son.

I saw the ill man breathing heavily outside the hospital,
because the doctors were busy treating "High Net Worth Individuals"
I dream of the day when he is treated the way a human should b treated.

I saw the girl who likes skirts but even in summers wear suites with full sleeves,
and I saw the boss calling her after every hour in his personal cabin.
I dream of the day when she'll have enough courage to raise voice against him.

I saw the boy who committed suicide,
because he was told he was not capable of doing anything in his life.
I dream of the day when the only competition we have is with ourselves.

I saw the faces that went numb and the eyes that couldn't even cry
on watching in front of them their kids, their husbands, their friends dying.
I dream of the day when there will be no 26/11 and no Indian Mujahideen or Lashkar E Taiba.

I saw them telling North Indians that they are outsiders and should leave,
I saw them telling people what language to listen and speak.
I dream of the day when they realize what are the real duties of a minister.

I saw them fighting over cricket matches in Hyderabad and Delhi,
I saw them putting extra security for players from other countries.
I dream of the day when each person in this country get a proper place for sanitation and 3 meals per day.

The day when everyone believes in the spirit of life....
The day when every kid gets the opportunity to enjoy childhood and smile......
The day when all castes all religions accepts that they all are same....
The day when instead of Khan and Khanna we know each other just by names...
The day when Honesty and Truth really wins....
The day when each individual fall in love with nation like Bhagat Singh...

And I can see the dream world is not so far.....
it virtually exists in each and every Indian's heart.

And I can see the dream world is not so far.....i can see it all

"The UnFinished LovE sTorY"

Special frnd is the name i always give you,
I wish I could say "I Love You"
Since the day I started knowing you,
"I love you"
The day u were wearing blue,I wanted to say "I love you".
Your eyes didnt allow me, even when i was holding your hand,
wid a pat on your head i called you my special frnd.

The day u shouted at me 1st tym, "i loved you"
the day you wished me B'day at night, "I loved you."
With all courage when i tried once, you said,"What???", turning your head,
all i could say was, "nothing, you are my special friend."

The day you bought me chocolates, "I loved you".
the day we drenched in the rain, "i loved you."
Wid every sip of all coffees at CCD, i used all tricks to explain,
but all you understood was dat we are special friends.
The day you told me about the guy, i was quiet.
The day you introduced me wid your love, i was quit.
You saw tears bt couldnt find out for whome,
i wish you could understand, dey were coz, "i loved you."

Wiping my tears, you said, "What happened please tell?"
All i could say was," nothing, am so happy for my Spl Friend.

"A Perfect Day"

Got up in the morning, wid a smile on my face,
as if God had told me, "it's gonna be a beautiful day."
Opened the tap and there was no water,
wat a chilling day, no need to take a shower.
Looked for breakfast, but no sugar for tea,
thank God for saving me from some more calories.
stepped out for work, but the car wasn't workin,
got an opportunity of makin an attempt of saving environment frm global warming.
Took a bus and reached office late,
felt proud knowing, in my absence, how many things had to wait.
Boss called up and penalized with more work and less tym,
got one more chance to prove myself wid dose files.
Stretched at office, wlaked out at late hours,
got a lift frm seniors in their big and elite cars.
Had to walk hrough two roads, from where they dropped me,
ohkk i cud look around which neighbours were worth staring.
Reachd home tired and no gas to cook food,
at last pizza party, God saved me from some more work.
Pizza reachd late and wasnt really hot,
I didnt have to pay anythin, so no money loss.
At last i got into my bed for sleeping,
thankd God for one more beautiful day, for Moon and Sun shining.
Everything went righ and it was a great day,
wake me again tomorrow wid a smile on my face.......

"The Ugly Shape It Can Take"

Till last year I used to tell my mom that I wanna do my MBA from Australia. At that time I was told “Australia is no more safe for Indians.” And hence I had to drop my plan of spending two years in a beautiful country, to which the cutest person in this world, Brett Lee belong.
This year also I made a list of some happening cities and colleges, from where I would love to pursue my MBA. When I told my mom about the list, there was a similar reply for the topmost city in the list, “No, Mumbai is not safe for North Indians.” I was taken aback. Now I find it difficult to distinguish between the victims in Australia and Mumbai, both are Indians.
I wonder if every state or every metropolitan city gets into the similar take on so called “outsiders”, our Delhi would be empty soon.
The BJP has linked the Sena’s stance to article 370, which disallows non-Kashmiri Indians from buying immovable property in Kashmir. We all know it very well that how and what controversies Kashmir has been facing since always. And therefore there must be some unavoidable circumstances that would have forced Kashmir to be bounded by Article 370. Instead of getting one more city in the similar binding, putting efforts and finding solutions to what has already been put upon Kashmir would be better.
There is a joke, that:
An American visited India and went back to America
Where he met his Indian friend who asked him
How did u find my Country
The American said it is a great country
With solid ancient history
And immensely rich with natural resources.
The Indian friend then asked.
How did u find Indians??

Indians??
Who Indians??
I didn't find or met a single Indian there in India .

What nonsense??
Who else could u met in India then??
The American said..
In Kashmir , I met a Kashmiri
In Punjab , a Panjabi
In Bihar, Maharastra, Rajasthan, Bengal , Tamil Nadu, Kerala:
Bihari, Marathi, Marwadi, Bengali, Tamil, Malayali

Then I met
A Hindu,
A Muslim,
A Christian,
A Jain,
A Buddhist

And many, many, many more
But not a single Indian did I meet

Ironically this is somewhere the true state of our country. We all have been divided into Marathi, Tamil, Madrasi, Bihari and all. I wonder if it all went the same way, what lingo I would use for myself. My grandfather came from Lahore at the time of partition and got settled in Delhi, married my grandmother who was from Kanpur, my dad was born in Delhi, my mom is from Bihar, I was born in Delhi and I have been living in Ghaziabad i.e. UP since last 15 years. So in short I am slightly confused about which “state” I belong to. Usually I am very keen to knowing that the other person I am meeting is Punjabi, Guajarati, Haryanwi, Bihari or even Marathi, just because I enjoy listening to these languages and learning a few sentences or words and knowing a few things about those cultures. But now, the same question might be called a racial comment as well, you never know.
I respect the feelings of Mr. Raj Thackrey and respect those martyrs (whether Maharashtrian or from other state), who were involved in vanquishing terrorists during the 26/11 attack on Mumbai. I bet, if they were alive, they would have proudly told everyone that they gave their lives for India and not for some particular state.
I don’t understand how and why our government is taking no steps against this unreasonable movement that will soon divide our country into smaller and smaller parts. And in a country where “Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Isai” are treated as bhai-bhai, there will soon be divisions in the name of Bihari, Madrasi, Marathi, Asami and so on.
I guess the new compilation or version of the song “Miley sur mera tumhara” is a great motivation spirit in that direction.
Though I am usually against Congress, I mean I give vote to BJP, I appreciate the move of Mr. Rahul Gandhi in this regard. We need some more young leaders like him.
And I hope I won’t be forced to join some college in Delhi only.

"AMAN KI ASHA"

“Aman Ki Asha”, a beautiful project initiated by The Times of India group and The Jang group in Pakistan. This ad is so heart touching, just amazing. I am desperately waiting for its launch on television. (video at the bottom, do watch)

India and Pakistan have already fought four wars. And after the incidence of 26/11, we are almost in the state of war. I don’t say that we should forget all this and stop being cautious against the terrorist activities from that side. It’s impractical. But, let’s leave this all on government. I don’t know what Pakistan government is doing and how our government should respond and treat them. But I am quite sure that people, the common people on the other side of border have nothing in their hearts against us. Pakistan faces more terrorist attacks than us. Have you ever felt delighted on seeing the kids dying in the bomb blasts in Islamabad? The answer is off course no, then how can we expect people out there to celebrate the ignominy that killed many in Taj and Nariman House. It was certainly a shameful incident, but we need to sink it that every citizen in Pakistan is not a terrorist.
The ad portrays so many emotions in just 70 seconds. How effort fully the person on our side is trying to understand what that Pakistani person is trying to speak, the love of Pakistani’s for Indian movie, song and Shahrukh Khan, the distance between them that has separated them that they can’t even have a word of mouth and still the connection they have build through heart, the celebration that went among the Indians seeing Pakistani’s enjoying and getting what they wanted. What an incredible thought.

I believe past 60 years were enough to be spent in hatred and it is the right time to be friends. It’s so strange that we, common people, pay so much attention and respect towards a tourist from UK or US, who speaks the other language and we hate those who speaks the same language as ours. Even in our own country people speak different languages but still we hate “them” (The Pakistanis) because they are on the other side of border.

I dream of the day when people in India stand and speak for people out there when someone raise voice against Pakistan and similar happens in Pak. A connection of hearts is stronger than any other connection. I dream of the day when a terrorist surrenders himself saying that I can’t lay a bomb in India because some people out here are my son’s and daughter’s best friends and because I see my family in them. I know this dream is far from reality and the probability of it getting true is as much as the probability of my dream of getting married with Gautam Gambhir true, but we can at least dream and make a start. All we need is a collective effort and some great initiatives like “Aman Ki Asha”.

Waiting for the response of general public to this ad.

"ONE LOVE"

Walking on the road, I bumped into a stranger,
not the most handsome, not the richest and not with most beautiful hair.

But still my eyes were stuck on him,
I felt as I know him since centuries.

My heart was beating as if it was dead since ages,
he was carrying a charismatic charm, stolen from sages.

He said I am sorry, and the words were singing,
ohkk I change my words, he is the most handsome guy I have ever seen.

Taking out his hand, he introduced himself,
touched him again, I wanted to seize that moment.

Moving his hand through his hairs, he asked walking along with me,
fine one more change, they were the most beautiful I had ever seen.

I don't know if his talks were worth that big smile,
I was completely lost that whatever was going, I couldn't realize.

I wanted to look most beautiful at that time,
I don't know why i wanted to just hold his eyes.

The weather had suddenly become so freezing,
it was also the effect of this new weird feeling.

He took out his jacket and gave it to me,
wow one more change, he was the richest heart I had ever seen.

That's how i met the love of my life,
having all that i wanted, my perfect choice.

Walking on the road i bumped into a stranger,
who was most handsome, the richest and had most beautiful hair......

"THE BUTTERFLY CALLED HAPPINESS"

Yesterday I was thinking about the past year 2009, I wanted to give it a name, may be the “The longest year of my life” or “The worst year”..etc. But then I thought of the transformation that took place in me, in this “long year”. I became more mature and have learnt a lot from the mistakes that I made. So finally, I decided to name it as “The learning year”. I guess this is the best time to bid good bye to all the bad and unhappy moments of 2009, the same way we say good bye to 2009.
I was reading an article in newspaper and that was all about being happy in life. And that inspired me too put those thoughts here.

This year, let’s choose Happiness. Someone asked me once, what all we need to be happy? Happiness doesn’t come by running behind it. It’s like the butterfly that lies upon you when you sit down quietly. We just need to learn how to celebrate small things in life. Like when someone says “you are looking good today” or when an old friend calls up or even when a handsome/beautiful boy/girl (for girl/boy respectively :P) smiles at you for no reason. These small-small things add colors in our daily life. Big things don’t happen daily. I feel contented when I help an old lady climbing down the staircase or when I make a crying baby smile or when I give my “ladies seat” to an old uncle in bus. Trust me these small-small things adds a sense of achievement in oneself and I bet the happiness that is felt is much more than what we feels while getting a certificate or trophy for other achievements.
My life has always been so unpredictable, like anyone, specially this past year. Five out of seven days people find me with a big smile on face. In the morning I tell myself that “I am happy”. And since the day I saw 3 Idiots, have started following the concept of “All Izz Well” too. Though the other two days goes into a swing of mood and I call them the “blue days”, when I feel gloomy and lost. Even smiles from a handsome and cute guy don’t work on these days. I guess because I become ignorant enough on these blue days. So I have decided to cope up with these blue days with the same concept of “Celebrating small things” and “All izz well”. Just want everyone to add smiles to their blue days as well. Don’t make your happiness vulnerable to external elements. Happiness is a state of mind. And we shouldn’t bother about what others think of us. It’s about what we think of ourselves. If it makes us happy, then it’s gotta be right. Even I have to learn this thing.

So wish you so many smiles this new year,

“A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR”

"The Fairy Tale Life"

Last night I slept at 2:30, trying hard since 11:30, with so many thoughts in mind regarding my admissions, career options, personal life, friends..etc..etc..
And what happens in morning?? 8 O'clock, a friend's call wakes me up telling me that it's almost deadline of filling forms of bla..blaa colleges. I had put alarm on my cell phone for 8:30 with a beautiful song of Lata ji, "O palan hare", so that atleast i would have a peaceful morning. But after that call, the thoughts of how much time it would take in bank for DD, in post office and in reaching the form to desired location, I could not sleep. At last i switched off my alarm at 8:25, before it could soothe my ears and mind. The whole day went with those forms only. And in the evening different thoughts caught me again, resulting in one more battle between sleep and thoughts.
This is the daily schedule of each of us in this fast running life of today. Whole day we are running the human race, to stand equally and if possible, above our fellow beings. And the evenings and nights goes in the tensions and plannings of the future. Everyone wants to earn more and more money, to live a better life. But my question is, what is the use of money when you don't have time to spend on yourself?? Actually the tensions of my life are what should I do to land into what I really want and what really interest me, not what will give the biggest bunch of notes.
I believe in, and am waiting for a "fairy tale life". Where we can take a break from this fast moving life. Where all we need to do is smile and play and where humanity still exists. A life where we take time out for others and their smiles and these others don't just include family. A place without pollution and global warming, beautiful with green trees and blue clouds.
I don't think it is that difficult. This world of ours can be a fairy tale land and each one of us can live a fairy tale life. All we need is a true effort from heart, without being so much selfish....

A FAIRY TALE LIFE (POEM)

All i want is to live a fairy tale life,
where most important thing is a big smile.

Wanna be so beautiful like Snow White,
flying like Tinkabell in the big blue sky.

All to be worried is honey like Pooh,
and yeah caring friends like him too.

Partners like Magic Carpet and Genie are with Aladdin,
what is better than a family like Mogli, so caring.

I don't want to take my next breathe in this pollution,
a little house and beautiful forest with 7 dwarfs will be awesome.

A morning without worrying how many things to be done,
wanna slow down a bit in this running race of human.

There is no word like love is in existence it seems,
standing on the balcony like Rapunzale, am waiting for my prince.

A prince who saves Cindrella from cruel people,
everyone today is so selfish like her step sisters.

Fed up of living life with tensions every second,
waiting for my fairy tale to begin.

dreamy dreamy day for whole day and not just for night,
All i want is to live a fairy tale life....
All i want is to live a fairy tale life....

"ADAM TEASERS"

You must be thinking what this Adam Teaser is? Nah, you don't need a vocabulary check, this is just an invention of my wacky brain. Actually I have been noticing the no. of these eve teasers growing day by day, since so long. Being a girl, I have also been facing it since so long. And the result is now am habitual of cars stopping by my side on roads and guys giving smiles, sliding windows down or stupid gang commenting on my curly hairs with, “hmm kya baat hai curly curly”, as if I didn’t know I have curly hairs. Khair, coming back to my innovative mind, I was thinking what if there were “ADAM TEASERS” too?? If a boy teases a girl, he is “eve teaser” so a girl teasing a boy would be “adam teaser”, right?
The thought brought a smile on my face and thinking that what the scenario would be, my mind brought in focus the “Amul Macho” ad. I guess everyone must have seen that ad. But the agony of the revolution I am planning to bring is these guys will never feel embarrassed if a few girls tease them finding alone. Moreover that would be a pride for them.
Well, at least, once in life I have embarrassed a guy by following him, near my college with two of my female friends. His expressions were worth watching. Though that was by mistake, we assumed him a guys who was calling my friend since so many days, telling her that he loved her [:P]. And my friend didn’t even know the name of her secret lover. Later on when we realized that he was from our college only, instead of apologizing, we decided to take more fun and we used to stare at him every day. I know I shouldn’t have told this, but then, why should boys have all the fun?? The point of writing all this is there are only two solutions to this problem, either guys stop this nonsense or the girls come out and let’s form a group of Adam Teasers. You know it’s no more Gandhiji’s society, today we believe in “tit for tat.”……[;)]

I also wanted to post this poem that i had recited on our title ceremony......dedicated to our 3 years journey...

I always knew this day will definitely come,
when we all have to move our own different ways,
But it was always like those bitter truths, which we try to overlook but the always stays

These 3 years were the most beautiful years of life for each of us,
they taught us everything from being well mannered in seminars to behaving crazily in bus.
This journey of 3 years can be treasured in different ways,
but the feeling behind these memories will always be same.
From the first outing to CSM to the last show of "Pink Panther",
from Volley Ball, football and cricket at RLA to hosting Euphony this year.
From the surprising trip to Chandigarh to the rocking Shimla in "Honeymoon Inn",
from Sardarji's crazy driving to Rohit's puking.

We started with bunking classes and created a record in bunking tests,
we are the real freakos who enjoy marketing workshops more than college fests.
Doing masti in conference room while playing through those mikes,
from waiting for hours at bus stop to coming college on bikes.
From playing chess, UNO and darts to Poshampa, corner corner and housie,
from playing with gulal and colors to mud, cold drink and eggs on holi.
From classes that used to get started at 9:00 to making them not to before 9:45,
from coming late ourselves in college and classes to making our teachers to get into the habit of not coming on time.
It started with sharing assignments then jokes
and now it has come to sharing each and every talk.

I wish we all always be the same person we are,
everytime we meet in future.
we have same feelings that we have at this hour.......
with love
akki.......:)

"MISS U ALL"

“It’s a beautiful day, tu mere sath hai, it’s a beautiful day baat ye khaas hai”…..

Is the song that comes into my mind whenever I think of the good old college days, this song because each day out there was beautiful, coz I had the finest people to share a lovely bond of friendship with. The golden days, best 3 years of my life till now. I remember my first day at college very well, when I was nervous like hell, like anyone. I used to be an introvert, low confidence and reserved nature person. And I remember my last day as well, our last outing at “Hauz Khas Fort”. The whole day, including the travelling part in the car was full of fun. We, 19 people, played hide n seek at the place where couples were busy doing something-something, you know :P. the moment of departing, when I hugged each and every person, looking back and waving hand again and again till the time we could see each other’s hand. It still brings a smile on my face and tears in my eyes.. I spent my whole final year telling each and every person in my class how much I was gonna miss them. AnD I can’t even count how many times Anshu teased me about that. People out there were my world. They told me what a real friend means. I have enjoyed every single moment in college with them. I can write 100’s of pages about the crazy things we did. Playing kiddish games and splashing water in rains is something funny for people when you are in 3rd year. We never believed in bunking classes alone, always had mass bunks especially in tests. You really need guts to participate in inter college volley ball match with a team where not a single player has ever touched the ball, and losing all matches with a big smile on face, making jokes of each other. There are so many moments I wanna write about but it will go on and on and on…..

Just wanna say thanx to all of them “My FFRIENDS”, who always protected and treated me like a kid and encouraged me, helped me in gaining confidence and coming out of my so called reserved and introvert nature.

A special thanks to the 5 most beautiful people in my life, Shibs, Eshi, Abhi, Su and Rotlu (Ayu)

My favourite one among the few poems i have ever written.......

WISH COULD FLY

I remember all the times when i prayed "I could fly"
Standing on roadside and looking at the sky.

I was four, dad got me a balloon,
I loved those colors, Red and Blue.

It slipped from my hand and went into the sky,
with tears in my eyes I said, "I wish I could fly"

Looking at a butterfly, I was counting its colors,
At the age of nine, i thought it was something unique that I discovered.

A blow of wind came and there was no butterfly,
with tears in my eyes I said, "I wish I could fly."

It was Christmas and I wrote a letter for Mr.Clause,
mentioning things that i wanted with high hopes.

I was thirteen of age and couldn't convince postman uncle to make a try.
with tears in my eyes I said, "I wish up to the North Pole I could fly"

I am a grown up and have faced a lot today.
Now I realize life is not a child's play

Though i have learnt a lot from life and everything has changed.
Still the WISH, from those childhood days is same.

Have tears in my eyes, but today i can't cry,
Standing alone on the roadside, I pray "I could fly."

Even after kajol, Bipasha and Mallika???

A matrimonial ad, “ Beautiful girl with fair complexion needed for a doctor guy, caste no bar”

“Fair Complexion”, every parent dreams of getting a fair and beautiful girl for their son. I wonder if these two words are really interrelated. I myself has dusky complexion and feels like killing those people who tell me names of fairness creams. I don’t know why they worry this much about my complexion, when this is entirely and solely my property. And when I, myself, love my complexion. As far as I know our country is known for brown complexion only. I remember last time I was standing near the window of a low floor DTC bus in Delhi when a guy on scooter just passed through me and commented something on my complexion. Though he himself was very dark, but I guess girls are supposed to be fair only.

This reminds me of an incident in school. Once we had hemoglobin test in our school. I got the highest among girls, 13 that was even more than a few boys in our class. Our class teacher who herself got 11, made a conclusion that people with dark or dusky complexion got higher level of hemoglobin. I don’t know if that was scientifically proved or not, but I found that really irritating at that point and quite funny later.

I don’t understand these people who have risen above the boundaries of caste, in a country like ours, but still looks for a fair complexion girl. Even when the film industry, where glamour and looks are everything, welcome the dusky and blacks gladly. I don’t know how to teach these people. I know there are so many people who have started looking beyond complexion and compliments like black beauty and lovely complexion are quite flattering, but I guess still we need a bigger change. I wonder do we really need tv soaps like “Saath phere” and “Bidaai” to make people understand? But I think these soaps shows the dark complexion people in an ugly way when we all know it well that a dusky person has his/her own charm and beauty. We have examples of Kajol, Bipasha, Mallika, Konkana and all. And I guess when a person as handsome as John Abraham finds a dusky girl gorgeous; there is no point of doubting the thoughts.

So guys just a piece of advice, that we Indians are famous for giving, open the boxes of mind and start looking at the beauty beyond complexion.
